Prime Minister visits ICU / HDU Irrawaddy Center: The Irrawaddy Bank and Max Myanmar Group donate another 15,000 lakh kyats for ICU / HDU expenses

Yangon Region Chief Minister U Phyo Min Thein and cabinet officials inspected the soon-to-be-opened 75-bed ICU / HDU Irrawaddy Center on the afternoon of October 7 and provided necessary assistance. The Ministry of Health and Sports is providing all possible support for the ICU / HDU, as well as additional equipment and supplies. Medicines and protective equipment; The Irrawaddy Bank Limited donated 10,000 lakh kyats to the Irrawaddy Foundation for a large cost of oxygen equipment being purchased from home and abroad. Max Myanmar Group donated another 5,000 lakh kyats.

The ICU / HDU was set up by Professor Dr Zaw Wai Soe himself, and is led by Professor Dr Mya Soe and specialists. Doctor Nurses Dr Aung Kyaw Oo and officials from The Irrawaddy Foundation; A total of more than 150 volunteers will be able to provide emergency medical care to patients. In addition, a new 50-bed HDU unit is under construction as the second phase and will be expanded to 125 ICU / HDU beds.

Yangon Region Chief Minister U Phyo Min Thein and party visited and pledged to fulfill the needs of the new and upcoming (75) bedded special ICU/HDU Unit at AYA Center. AYA Bank and Max Myanmar Group donated MMK (1) billion and MMK (500) millions respectively to Ayeyarwady Foundation in order to fulfill the needed medical equipment, medicines and oxygen machine to be installed in the new ICU/HDU Unit.

The building of the New ICU/HDU Unit has been closely monitored and organized by Professor Dr. Zaw Wai Soe and will be operated and run by members of the Special Medical Team of (150) persons, comprising of Professor Dr. Mya Soe of Anesthetics and Specialists from other medical fields, Medical Doctors, Nurses, Volunteers and Dr. Aung Kyaw Oo from Ayeyarwady Foundation who will all be working closely together to care for the emergency patients.

Moreover, in the pipe line, a (50) bedded additional HDU Unit will also be added to the existing ICU as a second phase making a total of (125) bedded ICU/HDU Unit Center.
